We are Maria and Richard Hartin.  I work part-time in healthcare, and my husband Richard is retired from a career in healthcare.  We love our life in the country!  Richard likes to piddle in his workshop, making woodcrafts from cedar that he has harvested on our property.  He also keeps busy caring for a flock of pigeons that he raises.  The pigeons have their own little building that I call the Pigeon Palace.  While he's busy with his woodcrafts, I enjoy making homemade bars of soap, homemade lip balm, and other homemade skin products.  We usually have some of our items for sale in the cabin, for our guests.

Of course, we both have lots of work around the property too.  We stay busy maintaining the hiking trails and keeping everything mowed.  We've planted some new trees and shrubs in the last few years, so we have to keep them all watered.  For fun, we enjoy walking our trails, or sometimes riding the trails on our mountain bikes.  The dogs absolutely love going on walks with us, and even our cat Buster follows along.  During the cool months Richard loves to make a fire in the fire pit, and we enjoy watching the stars at night.

We got the cabin a couple years ago, for when family comes to visit, and it's still used for that purpose.  But we decided to share the peace and quiet of our place with others, and listed it on Airbnb.  Through our cabin rental, we have met many wonderful people, and have quite a few repeat guests.  For now, we will continue to list on Airbnb, but wanted to have our own thing with this website.  We just enjoy our little piece of heaven, and want to continue to share it with others.
